I’m more invested in “you in three years who still applied everything you learned” than “you who got a great result in six months you can’t sustain but it looks cool on the outside”.

We make agreements about how we’re going to show up, (training) and we hold a standard to that level. The Pillars outline the topics we flow between. Over the six months, we cover everything, tailored to each person in their own time, and supported by a library of resources on each topic you can tap into at any time outside of coaching hours.

You can bring absolutely anything to this work with me in the salon. I don’t care who you are, what you do, what you want - we can create it together. No conversation is off-topic. I want you to bring it. Even when it doesn’t make sense.

You get really excited by completely f*cking with your own mind and your thinking - and you love to experiment, but you’re kind of over how unhealthy it is to be told that everything is purely mindset. You’re interested in questioning because it’s a healthy way to think, not an excuse to bypass what’s actually going on.

The salon is a space that represents a microcosm for the “real world” outside of it. How you show up in this space represents how you’re showing up in other spaces too, maybe even the rest of your life - and that’s to say, this is where we get to practise taking up more space, letting our emotions and our questions be heard, letting our weird, wild sides of our personality be seen and appreciated, speaking up, learning to think critically about what’s going on and letting that map across to the areas of your life you want it to go. Having a place to practise this, will develop your confidence when it comes to testing it out in the “real world”.

This probably isn’t for you if:

You’re in need of, or wanting constant hand-holding.

My style of accountability is to get you so clear on your mission you don’t require someone asking if you did your homework. That being said, I’m here with tissues and virtual hugs for moments you need to be held in other ways.

You’re unwilling to stop and take a breath amidst the panic, change up your thinking with support, and believe the good things people say about you. If you’re someone who thrives on drama, you’re going to have a really hard time in my space.

You don’t like being uncomfortable.

Sometimes, I give my clients feedback about their behaviour, language, the reflections from the time we’ve spent together or something else that not only feels uncomfortable to say, it's hard to hear, too. I don’t do it to be a jerk - and I’m not someone who will ever tell you what to do with your life - I do it because my job is to help you see what you may not be able to see. I’m not attached to being right - but we both need to be willing to get curious and uncomfortable if it means we’re going to change up unhealthy or unhelpful behaviours and create sustainable results.

You’re more focused on resources than being resourceful. I can help you shift out of this thinking, but if you constantly have excuses for why you are where you are and you’re unwilling to explore them with me, you’re going to be frustrated and look for someone who will give you a fancy ten-step process to nothing.

You take no responsibility for your own circumstances. I can help you do this - because part of creating personal power, or taking your power back, really is about responsibility - but I won’t let you hide in a story. It’s not called the Fierce Salon because it tickles, its’ because we fiercely remind ourselves of our power and strength, and we fiercely love one another back to that reminder.

I’m not here to convince you of who I am and what I do.

Hey, I’m Hayley Carr

9-Time World Karate Champion, Leadership, Business, NLP, Sex, Relationship, Business & Life Coach, NLP trainer & mentor to driven, sensitive women.

Really, I’m in the business of happiness. Love, Liberation, Leadership and Legacy are the focus of my (relatively short) life’s work so far.

I’m on a personal mission to contribute to ending violence against women through teaching Yin-centric-leadership, financial empowerment and environmental and emotional sustainability in high pressure, and high-achievement focused circumstances to women who lead.

My menu of events, courses, and coaching creates powerful, resourceful and authentic leaders, creating rapid, lasting changes, and seemingly impossible results - because they’re based on speaking to the whole human, in their whole life, and where they’re placed in the whole world - not just to band-aid a surface-level problem.

I have a Degree in Interior Architecture, a University Blue award for balancing elite sport with high level studies, and a Master Trainer Certificate in Neuro Linguistic Programming and Coaching, and a bunch of other expensive pieces of paper which are sitting somewhere in a folder in the garage.

A back story…

I learned first hand how to do whatever it takes and get to the top, and stay there when I was a world champion Martial Artist. But I sucked at success without burnout.

In a three-year bedridden stint with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I finally, stubbornly, came to terms with the fact that our human bodies are a metric we don’t consider when it comes to achievement - thanks, patriarchy - and when we place it first and foremost, we don’t just survive, we thrive.

In a six-year relationship with a partner who had a terminal illness, the importance of not waiting for someone to come and save me, or to finally give me permission to feel alive while I live this life, struck me hard. Being faced with death on the daily changed the shape of my heart, and reminded me of our fragility, and impermanence. It forced me to be present.

And then in an unexpected domestic violence experience years later, I found my unapologetic, fierce voice, once and for all.

I’ve also been disillusioned by the industry I work inside of in the past, and concerned about the way coaching is being practised by some folks who have huge influence, and a lack of training and integrity. Being an unregulated industry has its benefits, and it’s massive downfalls. I believe language matters - which is why I still teach NLP even though it gets such a bad wrap - and I’ve had to learn to be able to hold the paradox of hardly being able to stand the cringe-factor of some of the things I see in my industry, and still sticking around to do my work and show up in my own way.

Trouble was, I was terrified of failure.

So used to having it together (or at least looking that way from the outside) - and having people respect me for that, I managed to convince myself my worth was entirely attached to the narrow field I was playing in, and what I was good at. I feared if I ever were to stick my neck out and get it wrong, I wouldn’t cope.

I had to learn to suck again.

I mean, spectacularly suck. To become the type of woman who is no longer afraid of failure but rather, seeks to find her edge through failing, being uncomfortable and being OK with helping others do the same.

The way I was creating my “success” back then was based on someone else's ideals for me, and wasn't allowing me any space anywhere else. When I fell in a heap and burned out, I had no choice but to grow, or die that way.

I had to learn to heal my energy and body from the inside out - and to pay attention to what I could feel was working or not - and not just rely on ticking all the boxes. I had outgrown that method when I was told by a doctor I’d never heal.

I had to learn how to clarify my intentions and actions so my efforts would return some energy to me, instead of pushing myself beyond the limits, sacrificing myself like a martyr for the greater good. That meant learning how to live, and do business, regeneratively.

I had to learn to trust in my intuition over and above anything else. To become my wisest mentor and counsel. To speak up, to stand out, and to stop focusing on anything I couldn't control, and to be OK with disappointing people, receiving "no" and disapproval - and to hold the paradox of understanding that we don’t always feel great about doing what’s healthy, and right for us - but also learning to recognise when I was kidding myself - that it didn’t feel right it’s because it wasn’t.

It’s how I healed, but it’s also how we thrive.

Today, my work as a life and leadership coach synthesises the power of both freedom and devotion in equal measure with my clients.

The mindset, psychology and philosophies of becoming a nine-time Karate World Champion - turns out - are transferable to success in business, health, love, leadership, legacy and wealth for the people I coach, too.

I believe the best use of me right now is to be a powerful reflection to the sensitive, driven folks the world needs right now, to remember how powerful we are, take action where we can and with what we have, and to remember what damage we can do when integrity isn’t at the forefront - and stay responsible.

It’s my honour to be in such an intimate space, and have conversations with clients about this, and I hope you’ll join us for what’s set to be an experience that will crack you open in so many ways.

No two Fierce Salons are the same
Many clients come back for a second or third time to be in this space, soak up the coaching, and build on the goals they achieved in the previous round. Every year the experience gets better and better, too - as we do!

We use a framework instead of a curriculum
While this might at first seem too abstract, clients have found that it gives us the freedom to delve into the right content at the right time, as needed and as relevant - rather than forcing ourselves to take in unnecessary information, Insight ove information, always.

It’s training you, and strengthening you. You’re encouraged to fail, mess up, take up space, share your true thoughts (even if they’re hard to hear or say), let yourself be seen, and celebrate yourself and your peers in ways you don’t usually get to. Parallel to the coaching framework is training through action and feedback in support of becoming holistically, fierce.

I’m not just a coach.
There’s nothing wrong with being “just a coach” - but now that I have your attention, I’m someone who comes to coaching with a past international athletic career, a relationship, a home, a business of fourteen years, and a level of freedom in my body I was told would be impossible - all built of putting the tools of coaching into practise in the real world. Funnily enough, the lived experience is how I learned to apply the tools more than any classroom, which is why the Fierce Salon exists.
